-Christmas Morning- Watercolor Paper Lotus Lantern
Inspired by Japanese Lotus Lanterns.
And inspired by the feelings of Christmas.
I chose the colors of Red and White and Green to inspire feelings of Christmas morning.

When ordered, I cut out the petals using both machine and hand, using cardstock paper.
The petals are then glued in place.

Since it is all hand made, each flower looks slightly different.

The finishing touch is a layer of hot glue on the bottom, to add a little slip resistance.
.
Inside is a battery operated tea light that gives off a flickering glow.
I use a special light, that, to turn on and off, simply push lightly down on an edge of the tea light. (see video)
The battery is replaceable.
The design is of my own making, taking trial and error to create.
