Calcifer Coaster

$5.00

Calcifer, the fiery-hearted hearth demon from Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle, is a small but unforgettable presence whose warmth and wit drive much of the film's charm. Bound by a contract to the wizard Howl, Calcifer sustains the castle's movement and sustains an uneasy yet affectionate partnership with Sophie, whose quiet resolve challenges Howl’s secrets. Visually striking with a flickering, expressive flame and a pair of bright eyes, Calcifer blends elemental power with a surprisingly human personality—sarcastic, vulnerable, and loyal—making him a symbol of resilience and the transformative power of care and trust in Miyazaki’s enchanting world.

4'“x4” single coaster

The coasters are made of neoprene, with a polyester layer and natural rubber base, which can firmly grip the desktop and prevent slipping. The soft material gives you a smooth and comfortable touch.

Because I personally sublimit each coaster, there will be differences in color vibrancy and application. This is the nature of doing it by hand.

The coasters are machine washable. It is not recommended to put them in the dryer.

My process:

I use Sublimation paper for my designs. I will cut out the design using my Cricut machine from art or text I have created or purchased. I then use my Heat Press machine to move the ink to the neoprene coaster.

This process is permanent. The ink becomes part of the coaster’s surface, and won’t wear of for a very long time.

Sublimation is when a solid turns directly into a gas without becoming liquid. This happens when the solid's molecules gain enough energy to break free, usually through heat or lower pressure. As the temperature rises, the molecules move faster. When the solid gains enough energy, its molecules escape into the air as gas.
